I take responsibility for
the life I’m living.
The first word that Satan said to
human being is to create doubt: “Did God really say…” and to deceive: “You will
not surely die”. Then human fell into temptation, and sin.
When questioned by God, Adam did not
take responsibility for the act he chose, instead he blamed God for giving him
the woman, and then the woman blamed the serpent. What I just realised, excuses did not save them from the
consequences.
Reading The Happiness Project(the
book) and also Designing Your Life(MIT opencourse) has provided me with great
insight in pursuing my own happiness. By recording our thought, we can learn
more about ourselves. Did I really think
that? Is it a deception? We need paradigm shift. Our goals remain goals because
we tend to cheat ourselves. Our human nature inherited from Adam is addicted to
excuses. But we have to give that up. How? In this blog you’ll see what I’m
doing. This is to identify and break the pattern of excuses and justifications.
At first I intended to keep this blog
anonymous as I feel shame about my thought. What
would they think about me? But on
the other hand, I love reading real story, they’re inspiring. So this is my
lesson, “Put the real you out there. And people can accept for who you are or
not.” An important note of self-knowledge: Let
it go. A further step of being honest with myself, I’m having myself known
in the world. Thus either supporting or challenging comments with well
intentions are welcomed. J
Watch and pray, lest
you enter into temptation.
The spirit indeed is willing, but
the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41)
